As part of Guardian Scholars, you are provided with year-round, on-campus housing options. That means that you are covered during breaks, summers and any time you need a place to call home.
Living on campus at UCR can have a significant impact on your academic success and personal growth. On-campus living options are not only comfortable and convenient, they also offer you ample opportunities to make new friends and get involved with floor, hall and campus-wide activities. Best of all, living on campus is fun!
The hallmark of UCR on-campus living is its Residence Life Program. Administered by live-in staff that have undergone one of the most rigorous training processes on campus, their coordination of appropriate social, cultural, educational and recreational activities for student residents, as well as their ability to assist with maintenance issues, health emergencies, roommate conflicts, and personal crises, creates a one-of-a-kind community environment.
As part of Guardian Scholars, you are provided with year-round housing options.
Our three residence halls combine comfortable living with a sense of community that will make your housing experience a memorable one. Residence halls are the recommended and preferred home for over 75% of UCR's freshman class. Other than the physical appearances of the buildings and rooms, there are no programmatic differences. All residents are highly encouraged to participate in various programs in order to get the most out of their living environment.
The residence hall communities have facilities to make your life easier and more enjoyable while you live at UCR. Resources include study rooms, computer labs, social lounges, television rooms with cable access, secure bike storage, game rooms, laundry facilities, music practice rooms, food vending machines, convenience stores and plenty of recreational lawn space. UCR also offers residents mail delivery, emergency assistance, message services, equipment check-out (e.g. sports, cooking and cleaning equipment), housekeeping and dining services.
Beyond the residence halls, UCR also offers a variety of unique campus apartment communities. UCR's apartment options include Bannockburn Village, Oban, The Plaza, Falkirk, Glen Mor, Stonehaven and Canyon Crest Family Housing.
UCR strives to offer residents a variety of restaurants with high-quality, authentic and healthy cuisine. You can enjoy meals at residential restaurants, campus restaurants, markets/convenience stores and even food trucks! The best part of it all is that there are variety of dining plan options to fit your eating habits.
